Reuben's Preschool Graduation

Reuben is officially a kindergartner now! He was adorable in his graduation hat. These are terrible pictures, but I forgot my good camera because I was in a hurry and life has has just been crazy with end of the school year events, assignments, etc. I am so thankful for his wonderful teachers and the preschool director who made the atmosphere so friendly and safe. Reuben always came home so happy on preschool days and by extension me. I cannot believe I will have four kids in elementary school this next school year!

Father & Son's Camp Out

Scott bravely took three of our four boys to the Father & Son's Camp Out. It was about one hour drive from our house and halfway there Reuben informed Scott that he wanted to go back home; Scott told him it was too late. Reuben didn't like any of the food and proceeded to scream and cry for about 30 minutes until he ate a little because he wanted a soda so badly. Soda is his one true love these days. He also took forever to fall asleep. They all did have fun and wished they could have had more time to play and hike around. It was also the first time that we have ever used our 6-man tent that we have had for 7 years. I'm hoping he might be up for four boys next year-ha, ha, ha!

San Diego Trip

For Mother's Day weekend, we took a family trip to San Diego. I love weekend adventures like this, so it ended being the perfect Mother's Day gift.

San Diego Zoo
This was the best zoo ever!

They had two aviaries at the zoo. Peter loved them and probably could have spent half the day identifying birds (along with me).

The kids had a blast popping up through the hole in this groundhog playground area.

Tim LOVED the elephants. He pointed and said "elephant" the entire time.

Wow! I had no idea lions were so talented, ha!

San Diego Temple

The Beach
The water is colder than the East coast, but it is significantly warmer weather and slightly warmer than Central California Coast.

Out of all the major cities we have visited in California, San Diego is my favorite. Wish we could live there instead of Bakersfield. Oh well, guess we'll just have to visit again.

Misc - Jan to Apr 2019

January 2019

It is never usually cold enough to wear winter gear like this in Bakersfield, but Reuben's preschool class was having a unit on Winter and they all wore their "winter clothing" to school this day.

Tim had to join in the fun, of coarse!

I'm going to miss these sweet, snuggley moments. I'm trying to enjoy this as long as I can until my baby gets too big, sniff.

February 2019
Timothy was too tired to finish his snack.

For the past couple of months Timothy would scream when we put him to bed in the crib, so we decided it was time to take it down. That crib has served 6 babies and has been in service continuously for the past 11 years. It was kind of sad to take it down. Timothy hardly ever ends up falling asleep in the bed; we usually find him on the floor or he ends up in our bed part way through the night. It's going to be a long process (sigh).

This is one of the few nights he actually fell asleep in the bed. Sleeping kids are so adorable!

I had to document how long my hair is getting because I plan to chop it within the next month.

March 2019
I redid our Mardi Gras wreath. It's ridiculously big and flamboyant, just like Mardi Gras!

My best king cake yet; still not as good as we could get in Louisiana.

Reuben dressed as Mario.

Since Scott doesn't have enough to do already, Timothy decided to help him out and stick toys down the toilet. This didn't just happen once, but twice! Scott was NOT happy. I'll spare you the poop covered toys picture. One of Reuben's Voltron lions will never smell fresh again no matter how much we try to clean it (yuck).

April 2019
Reuben at CALM with his friend Elizabeth.

We were able to meet up with my sister Marissa and her husband, Chandler, in Ventura before they headed off to Disneyland.

My kids love their Aunt Moo (their nickname for her).
