Easter was fairly low key. Peter and Rigby enjoyed a little Easter Party and Easter Egg Hunt for Peter's Joy School. Here is a cute little bunny mask that Peter made at the party.
At home we just had an Easter Egg Hunt and completely forgot about dying eggs. I actually liked doing just a hunt and not having any "gifts" for Easter. I think next year we will add a little lesson on the Atonement and hopefully remember to dye the eggs. The boys were only interested in their loot and could not look for a picture.
The kids have enjoyed playing at the splash park lately. It is only an 8 minute walk from our house, so we try to go frequently. Peter LOVES it, and it is hard to get him to leave.
Rigby, on the other hand, will only run around the edge of the splash pad and watch the other kids play. So, Scott decided to help Rigby get his feet a little wet.
He is our cautious and sensitive little boy, but this last time he really got brave and actually got a little wet all by himself. All of that bravery must have worn him out because on the way home he passed out in the stroller.
Rigby is also an obsessive climber these days. He climbs anything he can. He likes to push the chairs up to the table and counter in order to grab things and even tries to turn on the stove. When we tell him "no" he usually obeys very well, but his tender little feelings are severely hurt and he cries ALL the time. Here is a picture of Peter telling Rigby "no" and to "get down" while Rigby breaks down in tears.
Peter is our goofy little boy. He put this little gangster ensemble together himself.
I have been enjoying our new couches. Despite constant reminders, the boys still have a hard time being "nice" while using them, so it will be interesting to see how they hold up over the next several years.
I love this picture. Apparently, Peter had some blue candy and was so sweet to share with his little brother.
