Moving was a little more complex this time around. Scott's start date in the California office was the end of June, so he drove 30 hours in the van with his brother Eric. I stayed behind for two weeks to let the kids finish swim team until the beginning of July. After swim ended, my mom helped me fly with the kids from Louisiana to California on a Saturday. We arrived at about 10pm in California and then at 3:30am on Sunday, I had to drive Scott two hours to an airport in Los Angeles so he could be at the house while the movers loaded everything up. The kids, my mom and I then went to church, loaded up the van and drove 10 hours to Utah on Monday. Scott then flew back to California where they dropped off our 2nd car and delivered our boxes about one week later. It was crazy! So much packing and traveling in one week for both Scott and I (especially with four kids plus a 9 month old baby). And since that wasn't enough traveling, we also took the kids on a 6 hour drive up to Island Park near Yellowstone. It was so much fun though!
We put the kids to work moving firewood.
We had fun watching the wildlife at Big Springs.
Reuben caught a ride on Grandpa's shoulders on the little hike to Johnny Sack's cabin near Big Springs.
Scott flew into Utah towards the end of our visit and took some beautiful pictures of American Fork Canyon, . . .
. . . the Aspen trees, . . .
. . . and our little hike around Cascade Springs just off the Alpine Loop.
This moose was so close to the trail!
