Peter at a wildlife sanctuary in Los Angeles (same field trip as the mission).

April 2018

He's ALWAYS climbing on the counters! Ahhhhh!

We decided it would be easier to maintain the backyard if we planted grass in this back border. I'm thankful for less weeding but the grass is still kind of patchy.

I LOVE this tantrum picture. This is how I feel sometimes.

Los Angelos Temple

In April, a few people without small children kindly provided childcare for those with small children, so we could go to a session at the Los Angeles Temple. We were so grateful to everyone that helped keep our kids safe and happy! No temple trip would be complete without pictures:

La Brea Tar Pits

The kids and I had fun going to the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles twice in the past month. Once to meet with my friend Shannon and her boys in March and again with Scott after our ward temple trip in April. It's a fun place to go once or twice but really not as awesome as the movie Volcano makes it out to be (our geology club used to watch cheesy/unrealistic geology movies and make fun of them, lol).

MARCH
Shannon and the kids testing the viscosity of different types of oil.

Xander, Camden, Peter, Timothy, Reuben, Adeline, Reuben (missing little Emmett)

The kids and I in front of a woolly mammoth skeleton replica.

APRIL
There is a lot of grass for the kids to run around.

A tar pit. It's neat to see what they have found in these and the story they tell, but really kind of boring just look at. On the bright side, I now have another place to check off my sight-seeing list.

CALM

There is a little zoo here in Bakersfield called CALM (California Living Museum) where they house injured animals that are native to the area. The kids and I decided to go before the heat took over for the next six to seven months.

Here are Rigby Peter, Adeline and Reuben with a blind bird (don't remember what kind).

This is the only picture Rigby would give a genuine smile. A frog trash can!

The lame train ride.

This is a cement egg they have made in the playground area. The kids said they were quintuplets!

Adeline's 6th Birthday

After trying to do some fancy cakes when Peter & Rigby were younger, I've decided store bought cakes are more my thing. So, Adeline got a cute flower cake; I just love going all girl after the boys' birthdays!

Gel Pens (more ammo for the walls)

Cute Sunglasses

A Jewelry Box
(I'm creating a jewelry monster so she can go shopping with me;)

Adeline is turning into such a fun and sweet girl. She loves jewelry, babies and swimming. She is such a hard worker at school and I'm so proud of how determined she can be even when things are hard. She always remembers to ask for blessings for each of her brothers and Scott & I during her prayers. We love you, Adeline!

Wind Wolves Hike

We were able to go on a hike at Wind Wolves Preserve (about 45 minutes from our house). We need to practice for all the hikes I have planned this summer in Utah and Yellowstone!

Timothy was so heavy!

Disneyland - Spring 2018

We were able to go to Disneyland before and after Rigby's Baptism with both sets of grandparents. We were able to get the Southern California Residents Disneyland Passes before they were discontinued and we have been able to make good use of them.

My favorite picture!

By chance we bumped into Scott's Aunt Becky, Uncle Frank,  and his cousin Sam (with his wife, Lindsey & kids, Rhett & Lola) near New Orleans Square. Wish this was a better picture but so glad we were able to have a fun little visit!
