Adeline's Speech and Preschool Papers

Adeline had fun participating in a co-op preschool group this last school year. She also participated in speech and had a tutor come to our house because her speech delay caused her to be a little behind in some of her pre-academic skills.

Here is Adeline in ready for her first day of preschool co-op.

Here are some of her first drawings she has made this school year. She once told me this was a picture of her baby sister; we are still waiting for "baby sister" to make an appearance.

Here are some paper/projects she made with Miss Michelle (tutor), Miss Joel (tutor) and Miss Mitzi (speech teacher).

Miss Mitzi & Adeline
Adeline, Reuben and I loved getting to know Miss Mitzi and will miss seeing her this next school year! We are so thankful for her help!

Adeline went from hardly talking at the beginning of the school year to a little chatterbox that most people can understand now. Everyone comments now on how much more and better she can talk. Adeline's speech teacher thinks she has a mild form of apraxia (when brain has problems planning to move the body parts-such as the lips, jaw, tongue-needed for speech). Much to the amazement of all her teachers and myself, she has been a very hard worker and made more and faster progress than anybody expected. We love our sweet, hard-working girl and are so proud of her!
