Mardi Gras 2017

Mardi Gras season is almost as exciting as Christmas here in Louisiana! There are always fun, creative projects to complete, decorations to put up, delicious king cake to eat, and weeks of parades to attend. We started out the Mardi Gras season by helping Rigby make his Russian float for a school parade. The parents would line the hallway while the kids walked around a few times. Rigby was in heaven since he loves being creative.

(I'm loving the king cake hats!)

Adeline at the Krewe of Tiny Tumblers with her float and throws.

Here we are waiting with the kids to see the floats come at the Krewe of Eve.  Peter has become a "master throw collector"; he comes back with the best stuff out of all of us. It was fun to watch Tim observe and take in all of the craziness.

Reuben fell asleep with his favorite throw of the night-an alligator (a very appropriate creature for the South).
