Fishing in the Gulf

Scott, his Dad, and my Dad got to go on a little fishing trip in the Gulf.  Kris, my Mom and I were very jealous, but I guess the guys do need some time away from us crazy women.  They all neglected to put on enough sunscreen and got super red, but it was worth it because I think they had a lot of fun.  Apparently the fish were not cooperating that day, so the guide had to hook a lot of them and then the guys reeled the fish in.

They got stuck in some mud for about 15 minutes.  The guide had to keep rocking the boat back and forth causing the propeller to kick up a lot of mud.

This is some sort of tern.  Not quite sure which type though.

The Park

When Scott's parents were here we went out to eat a lot.  We went to New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company, Chimes, Copeland's, and Zea's.  We also hung out at the park one evening and Scott got some cute pictures with his new camera.

Scott is usually always the photographer when we are out and about because I am so busy dealing with the kids.  So it was nice to have Kris get a picture of him even if is just of his back side!  I love this picture of him because it shows his camera case that he was so giddy about.

Rigby was refusing to put his shoes back on, so Grandma Flamm tickled him into submission and his "little mommy" tried to put his socks on.

Rigby started counting the glass pieces in the cement, so Adeline decided to copy him.  Moments of these two getting along are rare, so getting a picture to document it is really exciting!

Reuben's Blessing

Here are some family pictures that we were able to take on Easter/Reuben's Blessing Day.  They are not the greatest but better than nothing considering the circumstances.  Reuben was a little stinker and did not sleep very well the night before.  Also, Adeline threw up before church, on the way to church in the car, and on the way home in the car again!  We had to wash my Mom's and Adeline's church clothes quickly before everyone got home so we could take pictures.  It was crazy!  Thankfully, Reuben was really good during the blessing and did not make a peep.

Family!

We were able to have Scott's parents come visit the week before Reuben's blessing and my parent's and Marissa visit the week after Reuben's blessing.  It was so much fun!  Here are some pictures of the fun we had around the house.

Some friends from church invited us to a craw fish boil.  It was fun to show this Southern tradition with Scott's parents.

The boys had so much fun with Grandma's & Grandpa's  and Aunt Moo that they fell asleep in the middle of playing one night.

Peter wore his Awesome Sauce shirt for Grandpa Flamm.  Peter LOVES ketchup almost as much his Great-Grandma Flamm.  Doug likes to tell Peter the story about how his mother, Great-Grandma Flamm, use to eat ketchup on white bread.  She probably did this because growing up during the depression, those two items were sometimes the only thing they had to eat and she just acquired a taste for it.

Rigby really got into asking for his picture to be taken and posing for them while everyone was visiting.

He always says to me, "Mom, take a picture of me!"  And then he wants to see it.

Adeline pranced around in her light-up shoes for her Grandmas.

Here is a classic Adeline pose-hand stuck up her nose.  She will often bring us her boogers on the end of her finger so we can wipe it off.  Gross!

Rigby is always wandering out of his bed at night and finding someone to sleep next to because he says he is scared.  Usually it is Scott, but one morning I found him next to Aunt Moo watching her play a game on her phone.  Both the boys loved watching her play the "minion game."

Grandma & Grandpa Stewart and Aunt Moo brought some chocolate and made these lips for the boys and a bunny for Adeline.

Reuben's Little Mommy

She never gets tired of taking care of her baby brother.  She is going to make a great mom some day!

Adeline's 2nd Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS ADELINE!

Adeline LOVES Minnie Mouse, so we had a Minnie Mouse inspired cake, . . .

She loves hanging out with Mommy and being held and snuggled. 

Scott had the great idea to let Minnie hold a candle.  Adeline was not sure how to blow out the candles, so Scott ended up doing it for her.

Peter could not stay away from the action.  He had to "help" her open almost every gift.

Adeline got a ladybug pillow pet, Minnie Mouse cups, a baby doll, a stroller, a dinosaur transformer (from her brothers:), a book, a tea set, and puzzles.

She LOVES her baby Jenna, her stroller and her Minnie Mouse cups.

Adeline is such a cutie these days.  She is always doing something to make Scott and I laugh.  She is very feisty and definitely all-girl.  Adeline understands most everything, but talking might be an issue with her.  She says "uh huh" to everything and will only say words with the letter D.  For example, she says baby like this:  de de.  She gets the correct amount of syllables and the correct intonation, but she will not use the correct sounds.

I think her favorite colors are purple and pink because those are the color of dishes she usually picks out at meal time.  She does not have a favorite show yet because she will not sit still long enough to watch one.  She would rather help me take care of Reuben or help Scott do something around the house.  We call her our "little shadow" because she follows us around so closely.  In fact we are tripping over her all of the time!
